My bag of rice split open all over my kitchen floor last Tuesday

I was putting away groceries in my apartment and the cheap plastic handle gave way. I had about 3 pounds of dry rice scattered everywhere. Instead of tossing it, I swept it up, washed it really well in a big bowl, and spread it on a baking sheet to dry overnight. It worked fine for dinner the next day. Has anyone else saved a big staple like that after a kitchen mess?

Honestly, good for you. My floor is way cleaner than my cupboard most days anyway.

And let's be real, the floor probably gets cleaned more often than our phones do and we put those things on our faces.
