My grocery bill for the month came in under $200 and I'm still in shock

I tracked every single thing I bought at the store for the last 30 days, and the total was $187. I did it by making a huge pot of lentil soup on Sundays and eating it for lunch all week. I also stopped buying any drinks besides tap water. It's a small win, but it really shows how much those little things add up. Has anyone else tried a 'soup for lunch' plan to cut costs?

My grocery bill last month was $312 and I felt like a champion. You're out here playing a different game entirely. That lentil soup strategy is brutal but it clearly works. I might have to try the water only rule because my soda habit is definitely a budget leak.

Nah, that sounds miserable to me.

I thought that too until I tried it for a month.
