My grocery bill was under $40 this week thanks to a massive lentil sale
I saw a 2-pound bag of green lentils for $1.50 at the local market and basically built my whole meal plan around them. Has anyone else had a single cheap ingredient save their budget recently?

That's a great price for lentils.

Honestly, a dollar fifty for lentils is just normal pricing where I live. Building a whole week of meals around one sale item seems a bit extreme. You still need to buy vegetables, spices, and other basics to make those lentils into actual meals. That stuff adds up fast. It doesn't really sound like a huge budget win to me.

A dollar fifty is normal? Where do you live, that's crazy cheap.

Right? A buck fifty for lentils is a steal in most places. Even with extras it's still a solid base for cheap meals. People gotta stop acting like every deal has to be life changing lol.
