Rant: my $4 rotisserie chicken fed me 4 dinners and I think meal prepping is a scam
Last Tuesday I grabbed a $4.99 rotisserie chicken from the grocery store on my way home and stretched it into four dinners with rice, tortillas, and a bag of frozen veggies that cost me maybe $6 total. Meanwhile my roommate spends $40 every Sunday on chicken breast, quinoa, and those little glass containers just to eat the same bland thing all week. Am I crazy for thinking the store bought chicken is the smarter move here, or is there some reason everyone acts like prepping raw chicken is the only budget option?
