Switched from buying canned beans to cooking dry beans in my Instant Pot and saved about $8 a week in Denver
I was spending $3 a can at King Soopers but a $2 bag of dry beans makes like 4 cans worth, plus they taste way better, has anyone else made the swap and noticed a big difference in their grocery bill?

Moved to Denver last year and got the same shock at King Soopers. I still remember staring at a $4 box of cereal like it was made of gold. The dry bean swap saved me too, but what really got me was switching to the Ardent Mills store on 38th for bulk stuff. They sell 25 pound bags of pinto beans for like 12 bucks and I just vacuum seal portions. Lasts me months and I swear the beans come out creamier than anything from a can.

Honestly, I'm kind of shocked you were spending $3 a can at King Soopers. That's wild to me because even the fancy organic cans around here aren't that much. But good for you for figuring out the dry bean thing, seriously. Tbh I buy the big bags at WinCo and it's like a dollar forty for a pound of pintos, and that makes a ton of beans for the week. Ngl, the texture is way better too, they don't get that mushy slimy thing canned ones do. You're saving yourself like $32 a month and that's basically a whole dinner out.

Wow, you were paying $3 a can? That's insane. I can't believe anyone would willingly pay that much for beans.
