That $28 jar of 'premium' spice blend was a total bust for my chili

I grabbed a fancy smoked paprika and chipotle mix at a local market last month, thought it would level up my usual pot of chili. Turns out it tasted almost exactly like the $3 store brand, just with fancier packaging and half the amount. Anyone else gotten burned by overpriced seasonings that don't actually change the flavor?
