The way we used to stretch a roast chicken seems forgotten now

My dad would buy one chicken and make it last three meals. First night was roast, then sandwiches, then soup from the bones. Now I see people toss the carcass after one meal. I mean, it's such a waste when money is tight. Idk, maybe it's just me but that old way saved so much cash.

Sure the old way worked, but honestly who has time for that now? Grabbing a fresh rotisserie chicken some nights just makes life easier.

You know what gets lost in just the money talk? The flavor actually builds over those three days. That roast chicken turns into amazing tacos with the leftover meat, then the bones make a broth that's way deeper than anything from a box. It's like each meal teaches you how to cook better, not just stretch a buck. That carcass in the trash is basically tossing free kitchen magic.

Totally. That third day broth is the best part. Throwing the bones out is just dumb.
