Three months of meal prepping on Sunday saved me over $400

I used to just grab takeout on busy weeknights because it felt faster. Then I started setting aside 2 hours every Sunday to cook big batches of rice, beans, and roasted veggies. After just 3 months I noticed my credit card bill had way fewer restaurant charges on it. I'm averaging about $35 a week on groceries now instead of $80 on fast food. Has anyone else seen their spending drop after committing to a set prep day?

Honestly never thought meal prepping would work for me. I used to roll my eyes at people talking about it, figured it was just a waste of a perfectly good Sunday. But I tried it myself a few months back and now I'm a total convert. Tbh the savings hit me harder than I expected, I was spending close to $60 a week on lunch alone, now it's more like $20. Ngl, it's not always fun to get in the kitchen on a weekend but seeing that bank account balance makes it worth it.

And there I was thinking I was the only one missing takeout on purpose.
