Chose a 14-hour night bus in Mexico over a $90 flight, never again

I picked the overnight bus to Oaxaca to save $70 and ended up with zero sleep, a stiff neck, and a guy snoring next to me for 6 straight hours, has anyone else made this trade and instantly regretted it?

Guy snoring for 6 straight hours" is the part that got me. That's not a guy, that's a free soundtrack you didn't ask for. I once did a 12 hour bus in Peru and the woman next to me brought a live chicken in a bag. The chicken was quieter than your snorer, I bet. You saved $70 but paid with your soul, or at least your neck. Next time, just eat the $90 and sleep in a real bed, trust me on that one.
