Honestly, my Barcelona hostel bill went from $40 to $65 a night in two years.

Tbh, it's because I kept booking last minute. Now I set a calendar alert for 8 weeks out and check the same places. Anyone have a better system for finding those cheap beds before they're gone?

My buddy got burned in Lisbon last summer. He found a trick where he books a free cancellation rate way early, then just checks back every few days to see if a cheaper non-refundable one pops up.
