I finally learned to book flights on Tuesdays

My buddy saved $120 on a Chicago round-trip just by waiting two days. Tried it myself for a Denver trip last month and got $90 off. Anyone else test this or is it just luck?

Honestly that's awesome you're seeing real savings! I tried the Tuesday thing for a trip to Austin back in March and got $75 off compared to what I'd been checking on Saturday. The trick that really sealed it for me was setting up price alerts on a couple different sites so I could see when the Tuesday dips actually happened. For my Denver trip last month I also cleared my cookies before searching and honestly I think that helped too. Ngl it felt kinda silly at first but saving real money on flights makes me want to keep doing it.

Used to call it a myth, now I'm a believer.

Haha, "I finally learned to book flights on Tuesdays" - that's like finding out there's a secret level in the game of life. I tried this once for a trip to Seattle and, I mean, I saved like $50 but then I forgot to factor in that my luggage was basically a small car so the savings went right out the window. Idk maybe it's just me but my luck with flight deals is like my luck with parking spots: the cheap one is always three blocks further than I thought. Still, $90 off a Denver trip sounds solid, so maybe I just need to actually follow the rules instead of impulse-booking at midnight with a beer in hand.
