I paid $11 for a hostel breakfast in Lisbon and now I only book places with kitchens
Was in Lisbon for 5 days back in April. Hostel wanted $11 a day for their breakfast buffet so I skipped it the first morning. Walked to the market down the street instead, got a loaf of bread, cheese, and some fruit for like $7 total. That fed me for 3 days. Did the math after the trip and realized I saved around $40 just by having a kitchen to use. Now I filter every hostel search by whether they have a guest kitchen. Anyone have a city where the hostel breakfast is actually worth paying for? I keep wondering if I'm missing out somewhere.
