My flight got canceled in Bangkok and I ended up spending a night in the airport for free.

After the airline said they couldn't get me a hotel, I found a quiet corner near gate C7, used my pack as a pillow, and saved the $80 I would have spent on a last minute room, so has anyone else had to make an airport their hotel and found a good spot?

What's your go-to airport sleeping spot?

Patricia, do people really plan that?

Wait, hold on, I think you've got it a little backwards? Most people don't actually "plan" a spot at the airport, it's more like you just find one when you're stuck there overnight. I mean, unless you're really into airport lounges or have a specific terminal you always fly out of, it's kind of random. My go-to is usually near the end of a quiet gate area, you know the one where no flights are scheduled after 10pm. I look for a spot with armrest-free seats so I can stretch out, or sometimes I just curl up on the floor by a wall if it's clean enough. But honestly, I think the real trick is to scope out the place first, find a corner with good outlets, and then claim it like a sleeping bag territory.

Patricia, they said the airline couldn't get them a hotel, not that they wouldn't plan it. My spot is always near the charging stations.
