PSA: My $12 bus ticket from Berlin to Prague changed how I see short trips

I used to book flights for any trip over 200 miles, but after a friend convinced me to try FlixBus last spring, I saved over $150 and realized the extra 3 hours of travel time was perfect for reading and seeing the countryside, so what's your favorite underrated bus or train route in Europe?

Totally agree about the bus thing. The train from Salzburg to Hallstatt is stupid pretty and costs less than a coffee back home. Makes you actually look out the window.

That route is insane, right? Got stuck staring at the lake the whole time like a total tourist. Ever take the train through the Swiss Alps?

Used to think trains were just for getting places. That Hallstatt route made me a believer in the journey itself.

My friend once tried to convince me a 9-hour bus from Amsterdam to Berlin was a "scenic adventure." I saw a lot of German highway rest stops. What's the best view you've actually gotten stuck looking at?
