Rant: the $11 airport sandwich that cost me a whole day in Lisbon
Flew into Lisbon on a Tuesday with a 6 hour layover and figured I'd just eat at the airport, so I paid 11 euros for a sad ham sandwich and a water. Turned out my hostel check in wasn't until 3pm anyway, and I could've taken the metro into the city for 2 euros, eaten a real meal, and still made it back in time. Has anyone else blown a layover on overpriced terminal food when you could've just gone into town for cheaper?
