TIL booking flights on a Tuesday is a myth, but a 3 AM layover taught me the real deal

I used to think the whole Tuesday thing mattered. Then I got stuck in the Charlotte airport for 6 hours and started chatting with this gate agent. She told me the actual hack is to check prices in incognito mode on your phone at like 10 PM Sunday night. I tried it the next weekend for a trip to Nashville and saved $63 on the same flight I'd been watching for two weeks. Also, she said clearing your browser cookies does nothing, it's the data your phone collects that jacks up prices. Has anyone else had luck with that late night trick, or is it just total luck?
