Warning: I blew $240 on airport food in Denver last month before a guy at gate B22 set me straight
Saw this older guy pull a full sandwich, apple, and refillable bottle out of his backpack while I was in line for a $19 breakfast burrito. He said he hasn't paid for airport food in 12 trips. I did the math on my last 4 flights and it came to $240 just on snacks and coffee. Now I pack a pb and j, almonds, and an empty bottle I fill after security. The bottle alone saved me $6 a trip on water. My last flight to Kansas City cost me zero on food. What's your go to airport meal to bring through TSA?
$19 for a breakfast burrito should come with a apology letter and a free drink. Airport food prices are honestly a scam and we all just keep paying it like suckers. That older guy at gate B22 is a hero for waking you up to it. I bring a bag of trail mix and a couple granola bars, plus an empty bottle for the fountain after security. TSA has never once given me a hard time about any of it. Saving that cash for an actual meal when I land is way smarter than blowing it on a sad $12 sandwich.
