Wasted $120 on that “universal” travel adapter from Amazon that claimed to work everywhere

I took that thing to Thailand and it literally melted in the outlet after one night charging my phone, has anyone else had a travel gadget fail on them like that?

And then my "waterproof" Bluetooth speaker filled up with water the first time I took it near a pool.

Yo I got a JBL that's survived full dunks, maybe try one of those instead.

Exactly same thing happened to me with that brand. Got the "universal" one with all the extra USB ports, looked so good in the package. First night in Vietnam, it got hot and actually cracked the plastic near the prongs. @michael669 I switched to that little Anker cube after and its been solid in like 8 countries so far. Three of my friends all had their speakers die in Bali last year, cheap electronics just cannot handle the humidity or voltage swings there.
