Found out I was spending $150 a year on unused subscriptions

I was going through my bank statements last night and realized I had three streaming services I haven't touched in months. That's a good $12.50 a month just going down the drain. Has anyone else done a subscription audit and found something surprising?

Found a gym membership I'd been paying for two years without stepping foot inside. Ouch.

$12.50 a month feels like nothing until you realize that's a whole pizza you could've been eating instead. I did the same thing a few months back and found out I was paying for a fitness app I downloaded once in 2021 and never opened again. At least now you can put that cash toward something you'll actually use, like another subscription you'll forget about in three months.

Used to roll my eyes at people who called $12 a month a big deal, but then I added up all my random auto-pays and it came to almost $200 a year. @taylor.reese is totally right about the pizza thing, except in my case it's more like a new video game every few months that I could've bought instead. I had a cloud storage plan I forgot about for a year and a half, and a meal kit service I signed up for a free trial on and never canceled. Canceling all that stuff actually felt pretty good, not gonna lie.
