Heard a coworker say budgeting is just about cutting out coffee
Honestly, that's such a small part of it. My win was tracking every dollar for a month and finding I was spending $80 on random app store games. Has anyone else found a weird spending leak that wasn't the usual stuff?

What, did you fund a secret mobile game empire?

Funny enough, the real money pit for me was digital subscriptions that just auto-renew forever. Signed up for a cloud storage promo three years ago, forgot, and it's still charging. Same with a music service I never use since my phone plan includes one. It's not one big thing, it's four or five small ones that add up to a real car payment.

Used to think it was all about big, obvious cuts too. Tracking everything showed me a wild $50 a month going to parking apps because I was too lazy to look for free spots. That one dumb habit was like a hidden monthly bill. Totally changed how I see where money actually goes.

Yep, those auto renews are the silent budget killers. Three bucks here, six there, and suddenly you're funding a whole separate lifestyle you forgot about. Makes you wonder what else is quietly bleeding out.
