Just checked my savings and hit $1,000 for the first time ever

I've been putting $20 from every paycheck into a separate account for about a year, just forgetting about it. Logged in today and saw it crossed over a grand, which is huge for me because I've never had a real emergency fund before. It felt like free money even though I put it there myself, lol. Anyone else get that shock from a small, steady habit paying off?

Congrats on hitting that first big milestone. Automating small transfers is the only way I ever built up my own emergency fund. What's your next savings goal now that you have the system working?

You know what's funny about automating transfers? I set mine up and then completely forgot my own password to the savings account. Had to do a whole reset last week just to check the balance. Kind of defeats the purpose of "set it and forget it" when you forget how to get in.
