Overheard my coworker bragging about her $500 grocery budget for a family of 4
I was getting coffee and she was telling someone how she spends $500 a month on food for her whole family. I nearly choked. I spend $400 just on me and I meal prep every single Sunday. She said she buys everything at Aldi and grows some herbs on her balcony. Made me realize I'm probably overpaying for brand name stuff at Publix. Gonna try switching stores next week and see if I can cut at least $50 off my bill. Has anyone else had a big drop just from changing where you shop?

Oh man, switching stores made a huge difference for me. I dropped my bill by about $80 a month just by leaving Safeway for Aldi and it's honestly the same stuff.

Wait, does that mean I've been paying a "loyalty tax" at Safeway this whole time just for the privilege of bagging my own groceries? Guess my pride was worth an extra $80 a month.

Aldi is the move. Feels weird bagging your own stuff at first but saving $80 makes it real easy to get over.
