PSA: I paid $18 a month for a subscription I never used for 14 months

Checked my bank statements last week trying to find $200 I thought I lost. Found out it was a weather app subscription I signed up for during a hurricane panic. Anyone else got a random auto-pay they forgot about?

I've been there with the "hurricane panic" thing and forgot about an app for almost a year too. First thing you should do is go through all your subscriptions in your phone settings and bank statements, it's a pain but worth it. If the company won't refund you, dispute it with your bank and explain it was an accidental auto-renewal they didn't clearly communicate.

$48 for a year of some weather app? That's rough but nancyn69 I gotta say most banks will side with the merchant if the app was actually being used that whole time. Did you catch any login notifications or updates from it before you realized?

Forgot I was paying for a meditation app for eight months once, so I feel your pain on a spiritual level lol.
