Question about fixing a broken budget app sync that took me three days

I use a free app to track my spending, and last month it just stopped syncing with my bank. The app said everything was fine, but my rent payment never showed up. I spent hours checking my bank site, looking at old statements, and even tried a manual import that failed. I called the bank twice, and they said it was the app's problem. The app support just sent me a link to a help page I already read. I finally fixed it by deleting the account link and setting it up again from scratch, but I lost all my categories for that month. Has anyone else had a sync issue that wasted this much time? What did you do?

Ugh, that sounds so frustrating. Losing your categories after all that work is the worst part. I feel your pain, tech stuff like that eats up so much time for no reason.

Honestly it feels like everything is built to waste our time now. Like my smart lights that need a full router reboot to reconnect, or when a streaming service update logs you out of every single device. You fix one thing and three more break. It's this constant low grade maintenance that just drains you.

It's like a second unpaid job just keeping things running.

Check if the app has a backup before you delete the link next time?
