Rant: The $14 meal prep containers that fixed my grocery budget

I kept buying lunch at the gas station near my site in Austin, $9 to $11 every day, that's over $200 a month gone. Tried packing leftovers in whatever Tupperware I had, but they'd leak or the lids would crack, so I'd just give up and eat out. Then I grabbed a 10 pack of those cheap glass meal prep containers with the snap lids from Target. Week one I made a big pot of chili and portioned it out Sunday night. That alone saved me $45 in five days. Not a huge breakthrough, but I've stuck with it for 6 weeks now and my credit card statement shows I'm down to eating out once or twice a week. Anyone else find that the container itself makes the difference, not the meal plan?

The real win is those snap lids are basically adult fidget toys, so I actually look forward to packing lunch now.
