Spent 3 hours trying to fix a $15 leaky faucet that needed a 50 cent washer

Rented a car from that place near my work instead of taking the bus for a month and it wrecked my budget way worse than I thought. Anyone else find that the little maintenance stuff eats up way more time than you expect?

Yep, that leaky faucet thing is all too familiar. The little stuff always takes twice as long as you think it will.

Honestly, grab some plumber's tape and you can usually fix a leaky faucet in like ten minutes flat.

Wait, ten minutes? The last leaky faucet I fixed took me a whole Saturday afternoon and a trip back to the store for the right size wrench. I don't think plumber's tape has ever solved anything for me that quickly.
