TIL my grocery budgeting was off because of one simple mistake

My sister watched me throw out half a bag of spinach that went bad and said 'why don't you just buy frozen?'... never even crossed my mind. Swapped to frozen spinach and broccoli and I'm saving around $15 a week now. Anyone else find a simple swap that cut your food waste?

I was that person who swore fresh was better until frozen spinach saved my meals.

You swore fresh was better" is exactly what I used to say too, but here's the thing nobody talks about - frozen spinach actually has more nutrients because it's flash frozen right after being picked. Fresh spinach loses vitamins sitting in a plastic bag in the fridge for days. So really, you're being smarter about your health while also saving money and not dealing with slimy leaves going bad.

Didn't I see a study saying frozen veggies are actually more nutrient-packed?
