Wasted $80 on a meal prep service that gave me tiny portions

I signed up for that weekly box thinking I'd save money on groceries, but the meals were so small I ended up eating double and ordering takeout after... has anyone else gotten tricked by those promo codes?

Used to defend those meal kits hard, telling everyone they saved me money and time. Then I actually paid full price without a promo code and realized the portions are a joke for the cost. Ended up eating two dinners most nights or hitting the drive thru because I was still hungry. The math just doesn't work unless you're sharing one box between two people who basically eat nothing. They got me good with that "free shipping" offer too. Learned my lesson the hard way.

Did you actually check what the portions weighed when they showed up? I swear those delivery companies shrink the meals more every year. I can crush one of those prepared meals in like 5 bites and still be hungry. You basically gotta order two boxes to feed one normal person a full dinner. They rely on people being too lazy to cancel or too ashamed to admit they got ripped off.
