Dropped $30 on a fancy journal pen that completely smeared on day one
I spent $30 on a supposedly waterproof micron pen for my bullet journal, and within 2 hours my coffee cup ring turned my weekly spread into a blurry mess. Turns out waterproof doesn't mean coffee proof, and I had to redraw everything after work. Has anyone else had a go-to pen that just fails you when you need it most?

This whole "waterproof" thing has been a lie I keep falling for... It's like how my "water resistant" hiking boots soaked through the first time I stepped in a puddle deeper than a half inch. Everything these days is labeled as if it can survive a hurricane but can't handle a normal Tuesday. I feel like companies just pick the toughest sounding word and slap it on there without testing it against actual daily life.

I have to push back on this a bit. If you're drinking coffee while working in an expensive waterproof journal, that's less a pen failure and more about keeping liquids away from your work area in the first place.
