Found out my journaling habit had a real name the whole time
I've been keeping a bullet journal for about 5 years now, since 2020. But I never knew there was an actual community around it until last Tuesday when a friend mentioned this subreddit. Turns out the original method was created by Ryder Carroll in the 2010s and has like a whole system with migration and threading. I just thought I was making weird lists in a notebook. Has anyone else been doing this for ages without realizing it was a whole thing?

No clue he had a whole system going without even realizing it. That's wild.

@spencer_owens58 yeah that happens more than people think. I had the same thing with my morning routine - just always did the same steps in order before work without calling it anything. Best advice is to not overthink it. If it works for you, keep doing it. Just make sure you actually understand why each step matters so you can adjust when shit changes. Don't get hung up on having a name for it.
