Half my bujo spreads are blank after 3 months

I saw a stat last week that said 60% of people quit bullet journaling in the first 2 months. I thought that was high until I flipped back through my own notebook from January. I have 8 spreads I never touched, just wasted paper. Where did you guys find the motivation to actually stick with layout planning every week?

That part about @murphy.mason calling it a craft project rings true. My cousin got super into it last spring, bought like forty dollars worth of stickers and washi tape, then filled maybe four pages total. She said she spent more time deciding which color was for "water intake" than actually drinking the water. I think the blank pages just become this guilt trophy after a while, you know? Sometimes the simplest setup is the only one that survives.

...cause honestly I think the issue is you're overthinking the layouts, not the habit itself. @tara642's friend proves my point - people treat it like a craft project instead of just a simple tool to keep track of stuff. Keep it boring and functional and you'll actually fill those pages.

Tbh my friend Marie bought a fancy journal and used it exactly twice before giving up.
