I finally get the appeal of a weekly spread after hating them for 2 years

Last month I stuck to my daily rapid logging for 30 days straight and it was fine but I felt like I was missing the big picture of my week. Then during a hectic Tuesday with 3 after school meetings and a last minute parent conference, I sketched out a simple weekly layout on the fly and suddenly everything clicked. Has anyone else had that moment where a layout you dismissed suddenly becomes your favorite tool?

holly_reed55, I gotta ask about the "30 days straight" part. Did you actually go a full month without even sketching out a quick week view on the margins of your notebook? Because I feel like most people cave by day 10 and just draw a tiny calendar in the corner. I'm genuinely curious how you held out that long, especially with the chaotic scheduling you mentioned. My experience with rapid logging alone is that I lose track of where I'm supposed to be on Wednesday by Thursday afternoon, so your discipline is impressive but also a little puzzling to me. Take this with a grain of salt because I'm the type who needs to see the whole week laid out or I'm a mess.

...and then you just white-knuckled it through the whole month without even a tiny grid in the corner? I gotta know - was it a matter of principle, or were you just too stubborn to admit you needed the weekly view? Because I can't wrap my head around the idea of that many moving parts in one day without some kind of bird's eye view, even if it's just a few boxes drawn on a sticky note. Like, did you have a backup system or were you just running on pure memory and caffeine?
