I used to laugh at people who color coded their monthly spread...
Had a REALLY important client meeting last Wednesday. Pulled up my BuJo to check the date for a follow up. Spent a full 7 minutes flipping pages and scanning random entries because everything looked the SAME. All black ink, all the same handwriting size. Missed the meeting by 2 hours because I read the wrong week. Now I color code by category. Work is blue, personal is green, bills are red. It's not cute or artsy. It's purely survival based. Has anyone else had a failure that forced them to change their system?

lol congrats on joining the survivalist club. my bujo was basically a chaotic void until i missed a doctor's appointment that took three months to reschedule. now every category has its own color and if i lose a specific pen i will literally panic spiral. honestly blue work pens and green personal pens have saved my life more than any planner ever could. the artsy bujo people can keep their washi tape i just need to know if that tuesday meeting is for my boss or my dentist.

oh man I feel this so hard. i used to think it was extra until i double booked myself for a dentist and a job interview on the same day because my handwriting looked identical for both. now i literally color code everything down to my grocery list, it's the only way my brain doesn't melt.
