I was drowning in weekly reviews until a simple timer trick saved my bullet journal

Of course a timer fixed your bullet journal. It's the same logic as hitting a machine until it works. Simple, effective, and slightly embarrassing.

The "hitting a machine until it works" analogy is spot on. I once set a timer for two minutes just to convince myself to update my bullet journal (which, honestly, felt like negotiating with a toddler). It's embarrassing how well it works, like tricking my brain into productivity with the simplest possible gadget. Now I have a whole collection of timers for different tasks, which is both effective and a little pathetic when you think about it.

My friend Sam tried the timer thing for sorting her email inbox, set it for ten minutes max. She ended up clearing like 200 messages because once she started, she couldn't stop. Now she's obsessed with timing everything from meal prep to replying to texts. It's lowkey genius how a simple beep can defeat executive dysfunction.
