My entire weekly spread got wrecked by a coffee spill yesterday

Knocked a full mug over my Leuchtturm1917 right after I'd finished setting it up. I let it dry overnight and just redid the whole thing this morning, which actually felt pretty good. Anyone have a good waterproof pen they like for these disasters?

My third coffee spill this month is why I keep a Sharpie nearby, but maybe I should try @fiona_west21's sketchbook idea.

Gently push back on the sketchbook idea a little, because I've tried the Stillman & Birn and it's good but maybe overkill for just coffee drips. Their Alpha series handles light washes fine, but the paper still has some texture that can feel weird if you're just sketching with a ballpoint or fineliner. Honestly, a cheap mixed media pad from Michaels or even a Strathmore visual journal (the 400 series) holds up just as well for random spills without the premium price. The main thing is any paper with a bit of sizing (that's the coating that resists water) will save you. But yeah, Leuchtturm is definitely not the move for anything wet - it's basically fancy blotting paper with a nice cover.

Ugh, Leuchtturm paper is NOT water resistant.

My last Leuchtturm bled through with just a few drops from a water brush. I switched to a Stillman & Birn sketchbook for mixed media work, the paper handles light washes way better. It's a bit thicker and doesn't buckle as much.
