My entire weekly spread smeared when my coffee mug tipped over

It happened yesterday morning right after I finished inking my Monday section. I was using my usual Sakura Pigma Micron 05 pen, but I guess the ink wasn't fully dry yet. I just set the mug down too hard and a big splash went right across the page. I had to carefully blot it with a tissue, which left a fuzzy gray mess, and then redo the whole column. Has anyone found a truly quick-drying black ink that still works well on Leuchtturm paper?

Just use a pencil if you can't handle a little coffee spill.

Yeah but pencils smudge so bad... I've had whole pages turn gray from my hand rubbing over them. A cheap ballpoint pen is way better, the ink dries fast and won't run if something spills. Keep a backup pen in your bag, they're like a dollar.

Wait, so you're saying a pencil is the answer to coffee ruining notes? What happens when you need to erase something, you just cross it out and make a bigger mess?
