My monthly layout was a mess until I tried a 2 page spread with only 6 boxes

I kept cramming everything into one page for my monthly tasks and it looked like a tangled spider web. Then I copied this idea from a YouTube video by a girl in Portland where she splits it across 2 pages with 6 big boxes for categories like work, home, and health. It took me maybe 20 minutes to set up and now I actually see what needs doing instead of squinting at tiny handwriting. Anybody else find a layout that clicked after years of trial and error?

Oh man, @michael669 I used to be exactly like you honestly. I thought boxes were kind of pointless for a whole month setup because I needed those daily slots or I'd forget everything. But then I tried this 6 box thing out of pure frustration and it just clicked for me. The boxes are big enough to group similar tasks under work or home instead of having a million tiny scribbles. I still use daily lists on a separate sticky note but the monthly view actually makes sense now.

I can see where you're coming from @michael669, but I actually have to disagree with the whole 6 box idea. A month is a long time, and lumping everything together like that seems like a recipe for forgetting half of what you need to do. I need that daily breakdown, plain and simple. If I don't write it down for a specific day, it just floats around in my head and never gets done. Boxes for the month sound nice in theory, but for me they'd end up being decorative, not functional.

So you just use boxes for the whole month with no daily breakdown?
