The thing about "wrote nothing down for 4 days" that hits me HARD is that you probably weren't really doing nothing. You were still thinking, still sorting stuff out in your head. That time isn't wasted even if it feels like it. I've noticed when I FORCE myself to write before my brain is ready, the words come out all stiff and I end up deleting them anyway. Those 4 days were your brain cooking the idea. The 2 hour spread was just you finally putting what was already made onto paper.

Ever tried setting a timer for 10 minutes and just typing nonsense? Unlocks things for me.

Nah, I don't buy it. "Unlocks things" sounds nice but most of my nonsense typing just stays nonsense. Gotta have something to actually say first.
