My weekly spread went from 3 pages to half a page after I stopped pre-drawing it
I used to draw out every day of the week on Sunday night and it took me 45 minutes, so last month I switched to one running task list and just dated new lines as the week went. Now my bujo actually gets used past Wednesday, has anyone else ditched full weekly layouts entirely?
The part about it getting used past Wednesday is the real thing here. I noticed my old weekly spreads were basically art projects I was afraid to mess up, so I'd stop writing in them once they got ugly. The blank page anxiety was backwards, the more I pre-drew the less I wanted to touch it. A running list has no wrong way to look, which sounds small but it changes everything about how often I open the book. Maybe the real fix isnt the layout at all, its giving yourself permission to make it messy.
