PSA: Stop using washi tape as a functional divider in your monthly log

I see so many posts in here where people cover half their page with washi tape to split up months. That stuff peels off after 3 weeks and leaves sticky residue all over your paper. I learned this the hard way when my August log looked like a mess by day 10. Just use a ruler and a simple line instead. It stays clean and you won't have to redo the whole spread. Has anyone else had their tape ruin a layout they spent time on?

Peel it off carefully with a hair dryer on low heat. That's the only way mine came off without tearing the paper. Washi tape is a trap for perfectionists who don't want to commit to a permanent line.

My ex used washi tape to mark a moving box once and the whole label came off with the tape.
