Spent 8 months using my bujo wrong before a coworker pointed it out
I had been drawing my daily logs with the date at the bottom of the page instead of the top, thinking that's how it's supposed to go. Last Tuesday my coworker saw me flipping through and asked why I was reading my journal upside down. Has anyone else had a dumb moment like this?

I actually read about this in a bullet journaling guide that said a lot of people flip the date around by accident. The guide mentioned that 30 or 40 percent of new users mess up the layout at first because it feels backwards from how we normally write dates. I also heard a story about someone who spent months writing their future log entries in the past section before they realized. So you are definitely not alone in this, it seems like a pretty common mistake that nobody talks about.

Had a buddy who did something similar. He spent three weeks filling out his "weekly spread" but he was actually working in the wrong month entirely. He kept complaining that nothing he planned ever happened and he thought the system was broken. Eventually his girlfriend pointed out he was in the past and he just sat there staring at the page for a good ten seconds. Didn't touch the journal for like two months after that.
