Talking to my friend in Chicago made me drop my habit tracker

She said her bullet journal was just a list of things she didn't do, and it was making her feel bad. I looked at my own tracker from March and saw I only hit my water goal 4 times. I realized I was just tracking failure. Does anyone else feel like some spreads just make you feel worse?

I read a blog post that called this "toxic productivity" and it really stuck with me.

Yeah that term really nails it. It's like when you feel guilty for taking a break even when you're sick. The whole hustle culture thing just makes normal rest seem lazy.

Totally. I've powered through the flu before just to avoid feeling like a slacker.

Guess we're all just paying for fancy failure diaries.
