The monthly spread I swore I'd never use is now my whole setup
I spent 2 years doing strictly daily rapid logging, thought monthly spreads were for people who didn't actually write stuff down. Then last March in Austin, I missed a dentist appointment and a friend's birthday because the dailies just buried those items. Started a simple column layout with just dates and key events, took me maybe 20 minutes to set up, and I haven't missed anything since. Do you guys keep your monthly stuff separate or does it live in your daily log too?

The trick that finally stuck for me was putting the monthly spread on the left page of my notebook and keeping a tiny index column on the right edge of each daily log. That way I can flip back and forth without hunting through weeks of entries. Also, I color code anything time sensitive like appointments or deadlines with a red dot next to the date, so it pops even when I'm speed scanning. Do you review the month ahead every Sunday or only when something feels off?
