Wasted $40 on a fancy bullet journal pen set and here's what happened

I bought this 8-pen set from a boutique stationery store because the colors looked amazing on Instagram. Turns out they smudge like crazy if you even look at them wrong, and half of them dried out within two weeks. Total waste of $40, and I could have gotten a perfectly good pack of Pilot G2s for like $8. Has anyone else fallen for the hype on those expensive pen sets or do you have a cheap brand that actually holds up?

You get what you pay for with boutique brands, cheap pens write cheap.

@victor779 you're totally right, I learned that lesson the hard way too. Those fancy Insta pens are all show and no go, smeared all over my notes within a day. I stick with plain Pilot G2s now and they never let me down.
