Wasted $60 on a "beginner bullet journal kit" from Amazon - total garbage

Man, same thing happened to me with a "premium" kit I grabbed off Amazon last month. The pen was a dried up piece of junk after like three pages, and the included stencil had totally wrong measurements for the dots (like a centimeter off, can you believe that?). The stickers peeled off in a day too, so my whole fancy title page just looks stupid now.

Of course a $60 kit is going to be flimsy and basic, it's meant for total beginners testing the waters without a huge investment. You can find perfectly decent, cheap supplies that'll last way longer if you just look around a little. @wilson.joseph, your bad stencil experience is a bummer, but that's why I only buy my tools from a dedicated art store or a known brand online. You get what you pay for, and sometimes that's a lesson in what not to buy.

Those Amazon kits are basically paying for a pretty box and marketing photos. Grab a decent dotted A5 notebook at Target for $8 and a pack of Micron pens for $15 - that combo will actually last you months without any issues. The stencils and stickers that come in those kits are always the first thing to fail, best to skip them entirely. You'll save money and get way better quality if you just piece together your own setup from scratch.
