Can we talk about how my business internet got slower after they "upgraded" us to fiber in March?
Two years on cable in Boise gave me 300 down steady, then the fiber install in March dropped me to 90 down at peak hours, and their own tech admitted yesterday the node is oversold in my complex, so has anyone else seen fiber underdeliver versus the old coax it replaced?
The node being oversold is the real problem here, not fiber itself. Fiber can handle way more speed than coax, but if too many people in your building share the same node, everyone gets slowed down no matter what kind of cable it is. Your old coax probably held up better because fewer people were packed onto that same line back then.
