Dropped $340 switching our shop to a fiber plan that was slower than the cable we left
We run a 6 person print shop in Fort Worth and moved to a fiber business plan back in March because the sales guy promised 500 meg up and down. Turns out the building's internal wiring capped us at 90 meg during business hours, and nobody mentioned that until we called support 3 weeks in. We ate the $340 install and a month of double billing while the old cable line was still live. Ask your provider to test the actual speed at your desk before you sign, not just at the box. Anyone else get burned by the in building wiring problem?
