Switched my shop to a fixed wireless provider in Des Moines and I was sure it would be a mess
Our old cable business line kept dropping during card payments so I moved my print shop to a local fixed wireless company at $89 a month. I figured it would be unreliable since it comes off a tower instead of a wire, but the install took two hours and we haven't had a single dropped transaction in four months. The speeds aren't amazing, around 40 down, but for two card readers and cloud backups it's been rock solid. I ran a ping test every morning for the first month and the worst number I saw was 60ms. Anyone in the Midwest using fixed wireless for a storefront, and did it hold up through a bad winter storm?
