Appreciation post: polyurethane still beats hardwax oil for my shop floors

I tried hardwax oil on a 900 square foot floor 5 months ago in Austin and it dulled within 3 weeks from dust and casters, so I'm going back to poly and wondering if anyone else found hardwax oil is only for pretty showroom pieces, not real work?
