Can we talk about sanding inside curves with a drill setup?

I used to hand sand every inside radius with folded paper and it took forever, especially on MDF crown details. Last month I grabbed a cheap 3 inch sanding drum for my cordless drill and chucked it up with a soft pad. Night and day difference, I finished a whole kitchen door set in about 2 hours instead of a full Saturday. The trick is keeping the drill speed low so you don't burn the profile. Anyone else rig up something like this or still swear by hand sanding those tight spots?
